Yang Cheng-wu (born on June 26, 1972) is a politician from Taiwan. He is currently the chairman of the Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation. Before this, he was the Magistrate (leader) of Kinmen County. He served in this role from December 25, 2018, to December 25, 2022. He won this position in the 2018 Taiwanese local elections. Before becoming the Kinmen Magistrate, Yang Cheng-wu represented Kinmen County in the Legislative Yuan, which is like Taiwan's parliament.

Education and Learning
Yang Cheng-wu studied economics at Chinese Culture University and earned a bachelor's degree. Later, he went to the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom. There, he earned his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. This degree helps people learn how to manage businesses.
Political Journey
Serving in the Legislative Yuan
Yang Cheng-wu became a member of the Ninth Legislative Yuan after winning the 2016 general election. He represented the people of Kinmen County Constituency.
In August 2017, he asked for better teamwork between the health and transportation ministries. He wanted them to create a helipad and provide a special medical evacuation helicopter for Kinmen residents. A medical evacuation helicopter helps quickly transport sick or injured people to a hospital.
In October 2017, Yang Cheng-wu took part in a local vote in Kinmen. This vote was about whether to build a casino in the county. He was against building a casino and supported the decision not to build one.
On August 5, 2018, Yang Cheng-wu attended a special event. This event marked the first day that Kinmen started getting water from mainland China through the Jinjiang–Kinmen Pipeline.
Becoming Kinmen County Magistrate
On November 24, 2018, Yang Cheng-wu won the Kinmen County magistrate election. He won against the person who was already in charge, Chen Fu-hai.
Leading Kinmen County
After becoming the county magistrate, Yang Cheng-wu made his first official visit to mainland China. This was about two months after he started his new job. He visited Quanzhou and Xiamen in Fujian province. He led a group from the county government to promote tourism and products from Kinmen to people in mainland China.
On August 12, 2019, Yang Cheng-wu visited Beijing. He went with the leaders of Penghu County and Lienchiang County. They met with Liu Jieyi, who is in charge of the Taiwan Affairs Office. They asked the mainland Chinese government to allow more tourists from mainland China to visit their three counties. This was because of some difficulties in the relationship between Taiwan and mainland China. The mainland government agreed to lift the travel ban on September 20, 2019.
In late April 2020, Magistrate Yang visited Wuqiu for the first time as magistrate. He even stayed there overnight.
