Yasmin Warsame was born in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1976. She follows the Muslim faith. When she was fifteen years old, she moved with her family to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In 2000, Yasmin started modeling again. She worked with Ford Models in Toronto. Her first job was for the Sears catalogue. In the summer of 2002, she joined NEXT Models Canada. She was featured on the cover of Lush Magazine. A fashion photographer named Koby Inc. took her picture. After this, she went to Paris for her modeling career. In December 2011, she was on the cover of YYZ Living magazine. She also had a full photo story in Flare magazine in 2012.

Yasmin Warsame has worked with many top modeling agencies. These include SHOK Models, NEXT Toronto/Montreal, NEXT Paris, NEXT London, IMG New York, View Barcelona, and Tony Jones Amsterdam.
