Yawar Hayat Khan (born October 18, 1943 – died November 3, 2016) was a very important producer and director for the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). He worked there from 1965 until he retired in 2004. Many people believe he helped create the amazing TV dramas that Pakistan became known for, especially in the early days after television started in Pakistan in 1964.

Early Life and Education
Yawar Hayat Khan was born in Lahore, Pakistan, on October 18, 1943. He was the oldest son of Brigadier Azmat Hayat Khan. His grandfather was Sikandar Hayat Khan, a famous statesman. His mother's side of the family also had creative people. His uncle, Anwar Kamal Pasha, was a well-known film director. His grandfather, Hakim Ahmad Shuja, was a famous Urdu poet and writer.
Yawar Hayat Khan went to Aitchison College for his early education. Later, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Forman Christian College.

Yawar Hayat Khan started his career at Pakistan Television Corporation in 1965. He quickly became a talented producer and director.
Popular Dramas
One of his most popular early works was the rural drama Jhok Siyaal, which came out in 1973. This show was loved by many people. After that, he directed many other successful TV series. Some of these include Samundar, Nasheman, Dehleez, Sahil, and Gumshuda. These shows were very popular throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He retired from his work in 2004.
His Unique Style
