Yevgeniya Andreyevna Polyakova (born May 29, 1983) is a Russian sprinter. She is known for competing in short-distance running events. Her main event is the 100 metres sprint.

Yevgeniya Polyakova at the Olympics
Polyakova represented Russia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She competed in the 100 metres sprint. In her first race, she finished first with a time of 11.24 seconds. This allowed her to move to the next round.
She improved her time to 11.13 seconds in the second round. She finished second in that race. This result helped her qualify for the semi-finals. However, in the semi-finals, her time of 11.38 seconds was not fast enough. She did not make it to the final race.
Relay Race at the 2008 Olympics
Polyakova also ran in the 4x100 metres relay race. She teamed up with Aleksandra Fedoriva, Yulia Gushchina, and Yuliya Chermoshanskaya. In their first race, they finished second behind the team from Jamaica. Their time was 42.87 seconds.
This fast time qualified them for the final. In the final, the Russian team ran even faster. They finished in 42.31 seconds. They crossed the finish line first and won the gold medal. The Jamaican team did not finish the race due to a mistake.
Olympic Medal Disqualification
In August 2016, the Russian relay team lost their Olympic gold medal. This happened because of a rule violation by one of her teammates, Yuliya Chermoshanskaya. The team's medal was taken away due to a doping violation.
