Yfke Sturm's Early Life and Career
Yfke Sturm was born on November 19, 1981, in a city called Almere in the Netherlands. When she was 15 years old, something exciting happened. A talent scout from Elite Model Management found her in Almere.
Soon after, she joined the Dutch Elite Model Look Contest. She won that contest, which led her to the international competition. In 1997, she also won the International Elite Model Look Contest in Nice, France.
After winning, Yfke signed special deals with famous fashion companies. These included Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. She also modeled for Victoria's Secret, which is well-known for its fashion shows.
From Model to TV Host
In 2006, Yfke Sturm started a new adventure. She became the host of Holland's Next Top Model. This show is the Dutch version of the popular American show America's Next Top Model. It was shown during prime-time TV and many people watched it.
After hosting the second season, Yfke decided to focus more on her modeling. It was hard to do both TV work and her busy modeling career at the same time. She did make a guest appearance on Holland's Next Top Model again in 2011.

Yfke Sturm was married to a businessman named Imad Izemrane. They were married from 2007 to 2010. She used to live in New York City and later moved to London. In 2015, Yfke became a mom and had a son.
In September 2015, Yfke had a serious accident. She was riding a surf jet near the island of Ischia when she fell off. A boat then accidentally went over her. She was taken by helicopter to a hospital. She had serious injuries to her head and back. Doctors put her into a special sleep to help her heal.
