Yon Tumarkin (born July 22, 1989) is an Israeli actor and singer. He is most famous for his role as Leo in the TV series Split.

Early Life of Yon Tumarkin
Yon Tumarkin was born and grew up in Jaffa, Israel. His family has Jewish roots. He is the youngest son of Naama Tumarkin and the artist Yigal Tumarkin. His grandfather, Martin Hellberg, was a German actor.
When Yon was 13, his parents divorced. He and his mother moved to Tel Aviv. There, he studied art at Tichon Ironi Alef high school. After high school, he served in the Israeli army. He took a break from the army for his TV work. Yon finished his army service in 2011.
Yon Tumarkin's Acting Career
Yon Tumarkin was discovered when he was only eight years old. A casting director named Yael Aviv saw him in a cafe. The very next day, Yon went to his first audition!
As a child, Yon appeared in many TV commercials. His first big acting job was at age ten. It was in a TV film called Who Stole the Show?. When he was twelve, he acted in the film Shisha Million Rasism. In this movie, he played a child who could not speak and was a Holocaust survivor.
His career really took off after that. He got a main role in a TV series called Napoleon Hills Kids. In 2009, Yon sang a song called "Power of Thought" at an event called the Festigal. He won second place for his performance.
Starring in Split
In 2009, Yon Tumarkin starred with Amit Farkash in the TV series Split. He played Leo Zachs, a 600-year-old Vampire who looks like a teenager. The show was very popular in Israel. It was even sold to 78 other countries! From 2009 to 2012, Yon won the Israeli Television Academy Award four times in a row for best actor.
Other Film and TV Roles
In 2012, Yon played a main role in the Israeli drama film Rock the Casbah. This movie won awards. In 2014, he got a main role in the TV series The Nerd Club.
In 2015, Yon Tumarkin starred in JeruZalem. This was an English-speaking Israeli horror film. He acted alongside Yael Grobglas and Danielle Jadelyn.
In 2016, Yon appeared in the Israeli children's series Susey Pere (Wild Horses). He played a character named Libby Yahav. That same year, it was announced that Yon was cast in a TV series called "My Guardian Angel." This show is about teenagers who each have their own guardian angel.
In 2018, he played a graphic designer named Reuben. This was in an episode of the British crime series McMafia.
