Ytterhogdal is a small town in Sweden. In 2010, about 534 people lived there. It is located in Härjedalen Municipality in Jämtland County.
Ytterhogdal is special because it is in a place where three different Swedish provinces meet. A main road, European route E45, goes through the town. Ytterhogdal is also very close to the exact middle of Sweden!

Ytterhogdal Church: A Historic Building
The Ytterhogdal Church, also known as Ytterhogdals kyrka, is an important building in the town. It belongs to the Diocese of Härnösand.
Building the Church
The church was built a long time ago, between 1799 and 1809. A builder named Johan Christian Loëll from Gävle was in charge of its construction. The church is made of stone and has a tall tower on its eastern side.
Art Inside the Church
Inside the church, you can find beautiful sculptures. These artworks were created between 1839 and 1848. The artist who made them was Göran Sundin.
Climate in Ytterhogdal
Ytterhogdal has a very interesting climate. It is known as a subarctic climate, which means it has long, cold winters and short, cool summers. The weather can change very quickly here.
Extreme Weather Events
One amazing example of how quickly the weather can change happened in June 2006. On June 12, the temperature reached a very hot 32.9 degrees Celsius (about 91 degrees Fahrenheit). But just three days later, on June 15, the temperature dropped so much that there was air frost overnight! This means it got cold enough for ice to form, even in summer.
