The Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is a Native American tribe. They are part of the Serrano people, an Indigenous group from Southern California. This tribe is officially recognized by the United States government. They live in San Bernardino County, California.
The Yuhaaviatam are a specific group, or clan, of the Serrano people. Their ancestors have lived in the San Bernardino Mountains for a very long time. The tribe used to be called the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
Another Serrano tribe recognized by the government is the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. They also live in San Bernardino County, California.

The San Manuel Reservation
The San Manuel Reservation is a special area of land. It is officially recognized by the government as Native American land. The reservation is in San Bernardino County. When it was first created in 1891, it was about 658 acres. Now, it has grown to about 800 acres.
The reservation was named after Santos Manuel. He was an important leader of the tribe.
Helping the Community
The Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation often help their community. In December 2016, they lit up the Arrowhead landmark. This was for 14 nights to honor the 14 people who died in San Bernardino the year before. The Arrowhead is a famous California landmark.
The San Manuel Band and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians worked together. They gave $600,000 to the San Bernardino United Relief Fund. This was to help people after the shooting.
In 2019, the tribe gave $25 million to the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Because of this generous gift, the fifth floor of the hospital will be named the San Manuel Maternity Pavilion.
In 2020, the tribe also gave $9 million to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This money helps with education and new ideas about tribal gaming and law.
Tribal Businesses and Casinos
The Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is a big employer. They have more than 7,000 employees in the Inland Empire area of California. They own and run several businesses.
Yaamava' Resort & Casino
Their main business is the Yaamava' Resort & Casino. It was updated in 2016. They also own other restaurants in San Bernardino. These include Serrano Buffet, The Pines, Rock N' Brews, Chingon's Kitchen, Tutu's Food Court, and Big Mo's.
In October 2021, the tribe won an award. At the Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas 2021, they won "Responsible business of the year." Their Yaamava' Resort & Casino was also a runner-up for "property of the year."
Palms Casino Resort
In December 2021, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians bought a new business. They now own and operate the Palms Casino Resort. This resort is near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.
Education for the Community
The schools on the reservation are part of the San Bernardino City Unified School District. This district provides education for the children living there.
