Yusuke Kondo (近藤 祐介, born December 5, 1984) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward during his career. He is known for playing with several Japanese clubs, including FC Tokyo and Vissel Kobe.

Yusuke Kondo's Football Journey

Yusuke Kondo was born in Edogawa, Tokyo, Japan, on December 5, 1984. He started his professional football career after finishing high school.

Early Career with FC Tokyo

In 2003, Kondo joined FC Tokyo, a club in the top Japanese league, J1 League. He quickly got chances to play in his first season. In 2004, FC Tokyo won the 2004 J.League Cup. This was the club's very first major championship!

Time at Vissel Kobe

In 2006, Kondo was loaned to Vissel Kobe. This club had just moved down to the J2 League. He became a key player, often playing as a forward. Thanks to his help, Vissel Kobe moved back up to the J1 League at the end of the 2006 season. He continued to be a regular player for them in 2007.

Return to FC Tokyo and More Wins

Kondo returned to FC Tokyo in 2008. He didn't play as much that year because of an injury. However, in 2009, even though he didn't play as often as some other players, FC Tokyo won the 2009 J.League Cup again!

Moving to Consadole Sapporo

In 2010, Kondo moved to Consadole Sapporo, another J2 League club. In 2011, he changed his position and played as a left midfielder. He played in all 38 matches that season, which is a lot! Consadole Sapporo finished third in the 2011 season and was promoted to the J1 League. In 2012, he played many games as a right midfielder.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2013, Kondo joined Tochigi SC, a J2 League club. He played many matches as a regular left midfielder for two seasons. In 2015, he moved to Giravanz Kitakyushu, another J2 club, but didn't play much there. Later in 2015, he moved to AC Nagano Parceiro in the J3 League. In July 2016, he moved to SC Sagamihara, also in the J3 League. Yusuke Kondo decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2016 season.
