Yōsuke Kashiwagi (柏木 陽介, Kashiwagi Yōsuke, born 15 December 1987) is a Japanese footballer. He plays as a central midfielder for FC Gifu. A central midfielder is a player who helps both in defense and attack in the middle of the football field.

Yōsuke Kashiwagi's Football Journey

Yōsuke Kashiwagi has had an exciting career playing football in Japan and for his country. He is known for his skills in the midfield, helping his teams score goals and stop opponents.

Playing for Clubs

Yōsuke started his professional career with Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He played many games for them from 2006 to 2009. After that, he moved to Urawa Red Diamonds, one of Japan's biggest clubs. He played there for a long time, from 2010 to 2021.

During his time with Urawa Red Diamonds, he helped them win some major titles. One of his biggest achievements was winning the 2017 AFC Champions League. This is a very important tournament for clubs in Asia. He also helped them win the J. League Cup in 2016 and the Emperor's Cup in 2018.

In 2021, Yōsuke joined FC Gifu. He continued to play for them until he announced his retirement at the end of the 2023 season.

Playing for Japan

Yōsuke Kashiwagi also played for different levels of the Japanese national team.
