Zachary Michael Gilford, born on January 14, 1982, is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Matt Saracen in the TV show Friday Night Lights. He also starred in the scary Netflix series Midnight Mass in 2021. Later, he appeared in The Midnight Club (2022) and had a big role in The Fall of the House of Usher (2023).

Zach Gilford was born in Evanston, Illinois. His parents are Anne and Steve Gilford. He went to Evanston Township High School and then to Northwestern University.
Before becoming an actor, Zach worked as a trip leader. He guided teenagers on adventure trips. These trips took them to places like Alaska, British Columbia, California, Hawaii, and the South Pacific. He also worked at YMCA Camp Echo in Fremont, Michigan.

In 2010, Zach Gilford started dating actress Kiele Sanchez. They met while working on a TV show pilot. They got engaged in November 2011 and married on December 29, 2012. Zach and Kiele also acted together in the movie The Purge: Anarchy.
In 2015, they shared that they were expecting a son. Sadly, Kiele had a late-term miscarriage. In November 2017, they welcomed their daughter, who was born through surrogacy.
