Zhongli District (Chinese: 中壢區; pinyin: Zhōnglì Qū) is a busy area in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. You might see its name spelled in different ways, like Jungli or Chungli, on signs for trains, buses, and roads. Zhongli is a special place for the Hakka Taiwanese people. Many Hakka people live here and in nearby areas. Older residents often speak the Hakka Chinese language, along with Standard Chinese (Mandarin) and Taiwanese Hokkien.
Because of the many factories and businesses in the area, Zhongli has also become home to many workers from other countries, especially from the Philippines and Thailand. The district cares about nature too. It has three large parks and more than 70 smaller green spaces for everyone to enjoy.
