Zombie walk facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

A zombie walk is a fun event where people dress up like zombies! They walk around, pretending to be hungry zombies looking for brains. Some people get really creative with their costumes, like zombie brides, clowns, or even mad scientists.

These walks are often community events, meaning they bring people together. They are sometimes held around Halloween, which is a perfect time for spooky fun! You can find zombie walks happening during the day or at night. People of all ages, from kids to adults, join in. Sometimes, professional make-up artists are even there to help people look extra scary! Besides just walking, there are also zombie pub crawls (for adults) and zombie runs.

Zombie walks can also be a way to help others. Sometimes, a walk is held to raise money for a good cause, like helping people who don't have enough food. Walkers might even bring packaged and canned foods to donate to a local food bank. Zombie walks happen all over the world and can attract thousands of zombie fans!

In October 2013, the annual New Jersey Zombie Walk set a world record! It had the largest group of zombies ever, with 9,592 people. This huge crowd walked along the Asbury Park boardwalk. This amazing event is even in the Guinness World Record book!
