Zorritos facts for kids
Zorritos is a lovely town found in the Tumbes Region of northwestern Peru. It is known for its beautiful beaches. In 1999, about 6,605 people lived there. Zorritos is also the main town of the Contralmirante Villar Province. This means it is the most important center for the area. The current mayor of Zorritos is Jesus Alberto Luna.

Zorritos is located about 28 kilometers (17 miles) south of Tumbes. Tumbes is the biggest city and capital of the Tumbes Region. Zorritos is easy to reach from Tumbes.

In the past, Zorritos was a very popular beach spot. Rich families from Tumbes loved to visit its shores. This was partly because of the petroleum (oil) activities nearby. Oil exploration brought people and money to the area.
