About Zoë Charlton
Zoë Charlton was born in 1973 in Florida, at Eglin Air Force Base. She loved art from a young age.
Her Education and Training
Zoë studied art at college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in painting and drawing from Florida State University. Later, she received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
She also took part in special art programs called "residencies." These are places where artists can live and work on their art for a period of time. Some of these include:
- Ucross Foundation in Wyoming (2019)
- Artpace in Texas (2018)
- The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine (2001)
- The Patterson Residency for the Creative Alliance in Baltimore (2003)
From 2001 to 2003, Zoë also participated in a program at the Drawing Center in New York.
