Zubaida Ahmed Tharwat (Arabic: زبيدة أحمد ثروت) was a famous Egyptian actress. She was born on June 15, 1940, and passed away on December 13, 2016. She was well-known for her roles in movies, plays, and television shows. Many people called her "the most beautiful eyes in classic Egyptian cinema" because of her striking looks.
Zubaida Tharwat starred in many popular films. Some of her most famous movies include The Guilty (1975), The Other Man (1973), and There is A Man in Our House (1961).
Early Life and Education
Zubaida was born in Alexandria, Egypt, on June 15, 1940. She grew up in an Egyptian family. Her father, Ahmed Tharwat, was an officer in the Egyptian Navy.
When Zubaida was a teenager, she won a beauty contest. Her photograph was published in an Egyptian teen magazine. This helped her get noticed by movie directors and producers. She also studied law at the Alexandria University.
Acting Career
Zubaida Tharwat started her acting career in 1956. Her first film was Dalila, where she acted alongside famous stars like Shadia and Abdel Halim Hafez.
She went on to work with many other well-known actors. These included Youssef Wahbi, Salah Zulfikar, Rushdy Abaza, Kamal el-Shennawi, Soad Hosny, and Omar Sharif.

Zubaida Tharwat appeared in many films throughout the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Some of her important movie roles were in Eni Atahem (1960), Fi Baytuna Ragol (1961), El-Hob El-Daea' (1970), Al-Rajul Al-Akhar (1973), and Al-Mothneboon (1975). She also performed in plays, such as Ana we Heya we mrati (1987).
She stopped acting in the late 1980s. During her career, Zubaida Tharwat received several nicknames. People called her "The Pussycat of Arabic Cinema," "Magic Eyes," and "The Queen of Romance."
Personal Life
Zubaida Tharwat had three siblings, including a twin sister named Hikmet. She was married five times. She had four daughters with her second husband, who was an Egyptian producer named Sobhy Farahat.
Zubaida Tharwat passed away at the age of 76. She had been dealing with health issues for some time.
