100 Cambridge Street is a tall building in Boston, Massachusetts. It's located in an area called Government Center. This building is 396 feet (about 121 meters) tall and has 22 floors. It was finished in 1965.

For a long time, this building was known as the Leverett Saltonstall Building. It was named after Leverett Saltonstall, who was a governor of Massachusetts and later a U.S. Senator. The building has a special look called the International style of architecture. Since October 2017, Sattler College has been located here.

A Look Inside 100 Cambridge Street

When it first opened, 100 Cambridge Street was home to many state government offices. Today, it's a mix of different things. You can find offices, shops, and even homes inside. About half of the office space is rented by private companies. The other half is still used by Massachusetts state government groups.

Big Changes and Renovations

In 1999, the building had to close for a while. Workers found a material called asbestos in the air, which needed to be safely removed. This was a very important cleanup project.

After the cleanup, the building got a big makeover and expansion. This project added a new, five-story part around the bottom of the main tower. This new section included space for shops and apartments. Some of these apartments were sold at market price, and some were made affordable.
