The Battle of Faughart
On October 14, 1318, a major battle took place in Ireland called the Battle of Faughart. This battle was fought between Scottish and Irish forces led by Edward Bruce (King Robert I's brother) and English forces. Sadly, the battle ended in a defeat for the Scots and their allies.
