The 2019–20 Winnipeg Jets season was the 21st season for the National Hockey League (NHL) team. This was the ninth season for the team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The team moved there from Atlanta before the 2011–12 NHL season.

The season was stopped on March 12, 2020. This happened because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many other sports leagues also paused their games. On May 26, the NHL decided the regular season was over. All remaining games were cancelled. The Jets still made it to the playoffs. They played against the Calgary Flames in a special qualifying round. The Jets lost the series in four games.

Regular Season Highlights

The Jets started their season on October 3. They lost their first game 6–4 to the New York Rangers. October was a tough month for the team. They finished with 6 wins and 7 losses. This gave them 12 points out of a possible 26.

The team's performance improved in November. They had a strong record of 10 wins, 3 losses, and 1 overtime loss. December saw them with 6 wins, 5 losses, and 2 overtime losses. January was a challenging month for the Jets. They only won 3 games, losing 8 and having 1 overtime loss. In February, they bounced back with 8 wins, 5 losses, and 2 overtime losses. The season ended early in March. The Jets had a perfect record of 4 wins and no losses in that short month.
