The 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh ceasefire agreement was a very important deal. It helped stop the fighting in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This agreement officially ended the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
Leaders from three countries signed this agreement. They were Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. They signed it on November 9, 2020.
The agreement made sure that all fighting and military actions stopped. This happened in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The ceasefire began at midnight on November 10, 2020, Moscow time. Arayik Harutyunyan, the leader of the self-declared Republic of Artsakh, also agreed to stop the fighting.
