The 2022 NCAA Men's College World Series was the exciting final part of the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It's a big baseball event for college teams. This tournament took place from June 17 to June 26, 2022. It was held at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
This was the 75th time the College World Series happened. It was also the 72nd time it was held in Omaha. Eight teams competed in two groups. Each group played a double-elimination style. This means a team had to lose twice to be out. The winners from each group then played in a championship series. This final series was a best-of-three format. The first team to win two games became the champion.

How Teams Reached the College World Series
The 2022 College World Series featured eight top college baseball teams. Four teams were from the SEC conference. Two teams were from the Big 12 conference. One team each came from the ACC and Pac-12 conferences.
Most of these teams had to win their games away from home to get to Omaha. Only two teams were top-ranked national seeds. The overall top seed, Tennessee, was surprisingly knocked out. They lost to Notre Dame in their Super Regional round. In the College World Series itself, two other highly ranked teams, Stanford and Texas, were quickly eliminated. Stanford lost badly to Arkansas, then to Auburn. Texas lost to Notre Dame, then to Texas A&M.
The Ole Miss team had an amazing run. They won five games and lost only one in the College World Series. They beat Auburn once and Arkansas twice. This helped them reach the championship series. In the finals, Ole Miss swept Oklahoma. This means they won both games against Oklahoma. Ole Miss won Game 1 by a score of 10-3. They won Game 2 by 4-2. This victory gave Ole Miss their first-ever College World Series title. It was also their first national championship in any men's sport.
