800 Saint-Jacques Street West (also known as 800, rue Saint-Jacques Ouest in French) is a large office building being built in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It faces Robert Bourassa Boulevard in the Quartier de l’innovation (Innovation Quarter) of Downtown Montreal. This building will also connect to Montreal's famous Underground City, a network of tunnels and walkways beneath the city.
Once finished in 2022, the National Bank of Canada will be the only company using the building. This new building will be as tall as the nearby Victoria sur le Parc building. Together, they will be the third tallest buildings in Montreal.

Building History
Buying the Land
In January 2018, a company called Broccolini, which builds and develops real estate, bought the land for 100 million Canadian dollars. Before Broccolini bought it, the area was used as a public parking lot.
Funding the New Headquarters
Soon after construction began in November 2018, the National Bank of Canada put its old building, 600 De La Gauchetière, up for sale. The money from selling their old building helped pay for the construction of their new main office at 800 Saint-Jacques Street West.
Building Design
Modern Look
The 800 Saint-Jacques Street West building will have a modern look. It will feature a sleek design with lots of glass and steel. The building's shape will point upwards towards the south.
Green Spaces and Public Areas
This new building will also include some special features. There will be an outdoor garden on the 40th floor, offering great views. A large public park will surround the building. This park will add more green space to Downtown Montreal. It is also designed to encourage people to visit the area, even when the National Bank of Canada is closed.
