A-0 Geyser is a cool geyser found in Yellowstone National Park in the United States. It's located in an area called the Lower Geyser Basin. Geysers are special hot springs that shoot hot water and steam high into the air.

Discovering A-0 Geyser

A-0 Geyser is part of a group of hot springs called the White Creek Group. This group also includes Spindle Geyser and Botryoidal Spring. It's a great spot to visit if you are exploring Yellowstone.

Where is A-0 Geyser?

You can find A-0 Geyser in the Lower Geyser Basin. It is about 100 feet (30 m) southeast of the Surprise Pool parking area. This makes it fairly easy to find for visitors.

What Does A-0 Geyser Look Like?

A-0 Geyser has a shallow, round pool. In the middle of this pool, you will see a round opening, which is its vent. This is where the hot water and steam come out during an eruption.

How Does A-0 Geyser Erupt?

When A-0 Geyser erupts, it shoots water like a fountain. The eruption usually lasts for about 30 to 40 seconds. The water can reach a height of 5 to 10 feet (1.5 to 3.0 m)! After an eruption, it rests for about 20 to 26 minutes before erupting again.

How Did A-0 Geyser Get Its Name?

The name A-0 Geyser is not an official name given by the park. It's a name that people use because it is very close to two other geysers. These nearby geysers are called A-1 and A-2, but they are not active anymore.
