Alejandro Daniel Calvo (born October 9, 1967) is a talented director, producer, and writer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is known for creating many interesting films.

About A. D. Calvo

Calvo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When he was four years old, his family moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 1974, they moved again to the United States.

Early Career in Film

Calvo's early work in filmmaking and writing was noticed by important people. Oscar-nominated producers Howard and Karen Baldwin supported him. Grammy-winning musician Michael Bolton also helped him. These three people were executive producers for his first major film.

His first feature film was The Other Side of the Tracks. It was a romantic thriller filmed in Connecticut in 2007. The TV network Showtime later showed this movie.

Later Films

Since his first film, Calvo has directed and produced five more feature films. These include The Melancholy Fantastic, House of Dust, and The Midnight Game. He also directed The Missing Girl, which was chosen for the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. His most recent film is Sweet, Sweet Lonely Girl.

Before working in movies, Calvo worked in the software industry.
