Playing in the NFL
After college, A. J. Davis hoped to join an NFL team. He was not chosen in the 2012 NFL draft. The draft is where NFL teams pick new players from college. Players who are not picked are called "undrafted." Even though he was undrafted, the New Orleans Saints signed him on May 1, 2012. This gave him a chance to play professional football.
