Aaron Keith Holbert (born January 9, 1973) is a former American professional baseball player. He played as an infielder for two teams in Major League Baseball (MLB): the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds.

Playing Career Highlights
First MLB Games
Aaron Holbert joined the St. Louis Cardinals for one game in 1996. He played in that game but did not get any hits. After that, he spent several years playing in minor league baseball.
He returned to Major League Baseball on August 16, 2005. He was called up by the Cincinnati Reds from their top minor league team, the Louisville Bats. This happened because another player, Ryan Freel, was temporarily unable to play due to an injury.
A Long Break Between Games
The time between Aaron Holbert's first MLB game in 1996 and his next game in 2005 was very long. There was a gap of 9 years and 124 days between these two games. This was one of the longest breaks between games for any player in Major League Baseball in 75 years.
