Aarthi Agarwal (born March 5, 1984 – died June 6, 2015) was an American actress of Indian descent. She was well-known for her work in Telugu cinema, which is the Telugu-language film industry in India.
Early Life and Career
Aarthi Agarwal was born in New Jersey, USA, on March 5, 1984. Her parents were from the Gujarati community in India. Her younger sister, Aditi Agarwal, is also an actress.
When she was about 14, famous actor Suniel Shetty saw her talent. He invited her to dance on stage in Philadelphia. After her performance, he encouraged her father to let her try acting in Bollywood films. At 16, she started her acting career with the film Paagalpan.
Aarthi then made her first Telugu film, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav. She starred alongside actor Venkatesh. She became one of the few actresses who didn't speak Telugu to work with many big Indian film stars. These stars included Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, and Jr NTR.
In 2007, Agarwal married a software engineer. The couple later divorced in 2009.
Later Years and Passing
On June 6, 2015, Aarthi Agarwal passed away in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She had been living with her parents in Egg Harbor Township. Her manager stated that her death was due to a heart attack.
