Abdoulie Mansally's Football Journey
Starting in The Gambia
Abdoulie Mansally began his football journey in his home country, The Gambia. He joined the youth academy of a team called Real de Banjul. After playing in their youth system, he moved up to play for their main team in the GFA League First Division.
Playing for New England Revolution
In 2007, a coach named Steve Nicol from the New England Revolution team noticed Mansally. This happened while Mansally was playing in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Soon after, Mansally signed with the Revolution, along with his teammate from Gambia, Sainey Nyassi.
Mansally played his first game for the Revolution on March 29, 2008. He scored his first goal in the Major League Soccer (MLS) on April 9, 2008. This goal was in a game against the Kansas City Wizards. On April 3, 2010, he scored two goals in one game for the first time in his career. These two goals were scored very quickly, only 110 seconds apart, helping New England win 2–0. Mansally left the New England Revolution on May 4, 2012.
Time with Real Salt Lake
After leaving New England, Mansally tried out for two other teams: D.C. United and Real Salt Lake. He officially signed with Real Salt Lake on June 20, 2012. He played his first game for this club on July 4, 2012. It was a game that ended in a 0-0 tie against Seattle Sounders FC.

About Abdoulie Mansally
For many years, Abdoulie Mansally was known by his nickname "Kenny." He used this name for his first six seasons as a professional player in the MLS. However, at the start of the 2013 season, he decided to stop using the nickname. He wanted people to remember his full name and where he came from.
In 2010, Mansally received his U.S. green card. This meant he was considered a "domestic player" for MLS teams. This status helps teams manage their roster of players. He later became a US citizen in 2015.
Helping Others: Mansally Foundation
Abdoulie Mansally started the Mansally Foundation. This foundation aims to make life better for people in the community where he grew up in The Gambia. The Gambia is a small country in Africa where many families earn a living by farming. The foundation helps children in Gambia get access to food, medical care, and education. This support helps them have a brighter future.
