The Aberdeen River is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows through the town of La Tuque and the area of Lac-Édouard. This river is a branch of the rivière aux Castors Noirs.

Some forest roads help people get to the river area. The main activities here are forestry (cutting down trees) and recreational activities like fishing or hiking.

The river's surface usually freezes from early December to late March. However, it's safest to walk on the ice from late December to early March. The amount of water in the river changes with the seasons and how much rain or snow falls.

Where the Aberdeen River Flows

The Aberdeen River starts at Aberdeen Lake. This lake is about 3.0 kilometres (1.9 mi) long and sits 429 metres (1,407 ft) above sea level. Many streams from the nearby mountains feed into Aberdeen Lake. The river begins at the southeastern part of the lake.

The Aberdeen River then flows into a bay on the eastern side of Lac aux Biscuits. This meeting point is about 4.3 kilometres (2.7 mi) northeast of the Canadian National train tracks. It's also 3.9 kilometres (2.4 mi) northwest of Lac des Trois Caribous and 6.2 kilometres (3.9 mi) east of the village of Lac-Édouard.
