The community of Ada was named after a real person!

Ada's County History
When Ada was first started in 1892, it was part of Douglas County.
- Later, in 1903, the county boundary changed.
- Because of this change, Ada became part of Lane County.
- However, the Ada Resort and Ada Park, both near Siltcoos Lake, are still located in Douglas County.
Ada's Railway Connection
Ada is also a stop on the Coos Bay Rail Line.
