Adam Mark Burish (born January 6, 1983) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played as a winger in the National Hockey League (NHL). His teams included the Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars, and San Jose Sharks. Today, he works as a TV analyst for Blackhawks games on NBC Sports Chicago.

Adam Burish's Hockey Journey
Adam Burish was chosen by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was picked in the 9th round, as the 282nd player overall.
College Hockey Success
Before joining the NHL, Adam played college hockey. He attended the University of Wisconsin in his hometown of Madison. He studied Economics there. Adam was the captain of his college team in the 2005–06 season. That year, his team won the national championship! He helped score two goals in their 2-1 victory in the final game.
NHL Debut and Stanley Cup Win
Adam scored his very first NHL goal on January 22, 2008. Two seasons later, he achieved a huge dream. He won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks. This is one of the biggest trophies in ice hockey.

Playing for Other Teams
After winning the Stanley Cup, Adam left the Blackhawks. On July 1, 2010, he signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Stars. Later, on July 1, 2012, he signed a four-year deal with the San Jose Sharks. While with the Sharks, he played alongside his old college teammate, Joe Pavelski.
Adam faced some challenges with injuries. In 2013, he had surgery on his back. In the 2014–15 season, he was sent to play with a minor league team, the Worcester Sharks. He also played for the Chicago Wolves that season. In 2015, his contract with the Sharks ended.
Playing Overseas
Adam then decided to play hockey outside of North America. For the 2015–16 season, he played in Sweden. He joined the Växjö Lakers and then the Malmö Redhawks in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He played only a few games for the Redhawks before leaving in 2016.

In 2017, Adam Burish joined NBC Sports Chicago. He became an analyst for the Chicago Blackhawks. He now shares his hockey knowledge during pre-game and post-game shows.
Personal Life of Adam Burish
Adam has a younger sister named Nikki Burish. She also played ice hockey for the University of Wisconsin. Both Adam and Nikki won their national championships in the same year, 2006.
Adam married Jackie Burish on August 17, 2019.
In October 2017, Adam was at a music festival in Las Vegas. A dangerous event happened there, but Adam was safe and not hurt.
