Adamuz is a cool town and a municipality in Spain. It's located in the province of Córdoba, which is part of the Andalusia region. This area is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich history. The small village of Algallarín is also part of the Adamuz municipality.

About Adamuz
Adamuz is a charming place with a population of about 4,185 people as of 2018. It sits at an elevation of 240 meters (about 787 feet) above sea level. The people who live here are called Adamuceños. The town covers an area of 334 square kilometers, which is roughly 129 square miles.
Weather and Nature
Adamuz has a typical Mediterranean climate. This means it gets lots of sunshine throughout the year. Summers are usually very hot and dry, with almost no rain at all. Winters are mild.
The plants and trees you'll see here are also typical of a Mediterranean forest. You might find oak trees, cork oak trees, and lots of shrubs that are used to dry conditions.

Adamuz has some interesting historical sites and natural spots to explore.
The Communal Forest
This is a huge forest area, about 2,500 hectares (that's over 6,000 acres!). It belongs to the town and is bordered by two rivers. These rivers have small dams that help keep water in them during the winter. A road runs right through the forest, making it easy to explore its natural beauty.
The Clock Tower
This impressive tower was built a long time ago, in 1566. It was created by Luis Méndez de Haro, who was the Marques del Carpio. The tower stands tall at 15 meters (about 49 feet), making it a noticeable landmark in the town.
St. Pius V Chapel
This is a small, peaceful chapel dedicated to Saint Pius V. Chapels are often used for quiet prayer and reflection.
St. Andrew the Apostle Church
This historic church dates all the way back to the 13th century! It has a main area (called a nave) and two side sections (aisles). Inside, you'll find a beautiful altar decorated with gold leaf and many colors. The church also has a tall, square bell tower with spiral stairs inside. The church was updated in the 16th century by a famous architect named Hernán Ruiz the Elder.
