Advent is a small place in West Virginia, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
Advent is located in the southeastern part of Jackson County. You can find it along Advent Road. It's southeast of Ripley, which is the main town and county seat for Jackson County. A county seat is like the capital city of a county, where the government offices are.
The community is also close to the borders of Kanawha and Roane counties. Advent sits at an elevation of about 791 feet (241 meters) above sea level.
