The Agalychnis hulli is a type of frog that belongs to a group called Phyllomedusinae. It is found in the northeastern parts of Peru and in nearby areas of Ecuador.
About the Hull's Leaf Frog
This frog lives in warm, wet rainforests that are close to the ground. You can find it in areas up to about 450 meters (1,476 feet) above sea level.
Its Home and Habits
The Agalychnis hulli has a special way of laying its eggs. It places them on leaves that hang over temporary ponds. When the eggs hatch, the tiny tadpoles drop into the water below. This is where they grow and develop.
Protecting This Frog
This frog is not very common. Its home is shrinking because of habitat loss, which means its natural living spaces are disappearing. However, the Agalychnis hulli lives in some special protected areas. These areas help keep the frog safe and protect its habitat.
