Aguacate is a special area called a barrio in the town of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 1,525 people lived there.

History of Aguacate

After the Spanish–American War, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This happened because of the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became a U.S. territory.

In 1899, the U.S. government counted the people in Puerto Rico. They found that Aguacate barrio and a nearby area called Arenales had a combined population of 991 people.
