Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah (Arabic: الشيخ أحمد النواف الأحمد الصباح, born in 1956) is a politician and former military officer from Kuwait. He served as the Prime Minister of Kuwait from July 2022 until his resignation in December 2023. He is also the oldest son of the previous leader of Kuwait, Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Early Career and Public Service
Before becoming Prime Minister, Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah had a long career in public service. He worked in Kuwait's Ministry of Interior, which is like a police department, and reached a high rank. In 2014, he retired from the Ministry.
After retiring, he became the governor of Hawalli, an important area in Kuwait. He also represented the Emir (the ruler of Kuwait) on many important occasions.
Role in the National Guard
From November 2020 to March 2022, he served as the Deputy Chief of the National Guard. This position became available when Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah became the Crown Prince.
Other Activities
Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was also involved in sports. He was a member of the general assembly for the Al-Arabi Club, a famous sports club in Kuwait. He even managed the club's football team during a very successful period. He also led the International Police Federation and the Kuwait Police Federation.
Important Government Roles
Serving as Minister of Interior
On March 9, 2022, a special order was made to appoint him as the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior. This was a very important role in the government.
Becoming Prime Minister
On July 24, 2022, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a decree. This decree officially assigned Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah the role of Prime Minister. He was tasked with forming the 40th government in Kuwait's history. The new government was officially formed on August 1, 2022.
He served as Prime Minister until December 20, 2023. On that day, he resigned from his position and submitted his cabinet's resignation to the new Emir, Mishal Al-Sabah.
