Ahmad Starks (born September 11, 1992) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a point guard for the Pelister team in the Macedonian First League. Before becoming a pro, Starks played college basketball for two big universities: Oregon State University and the University of Illinois.

High School Basketball Star
Ahmad Starks was a talented basketball player in high school. He went to Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, Illinois.
Winning Championships
As a junior, Starks helped his team win a major championship. They won the 4A Illinois High School Boys Basketball Championship! They beat Waukegan High School 69–66 in a thrilling game.
In his senior year, Starks continued to shine. He scored about 16 points per game. He also made 6 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game. He led his team to the state championship game again. This time, they lost to Simeon Career Academy.
College Basketball Journey

Time at Oregon State
Starks started his college career at Oregon State University. He played there for three seasons. During his time at Oregon State, he became a record-holder. He made the most three-pointers in the school's history. He also set a record for the most three-pointers in a single season.
Starks started in 73 games for Oregon State. As a junior, he averaged 10.4 points per game. He also got 2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1 steal per game.
Transfer to Illinois
After his junior year, Starks decided to transfer. He wanted to be closer to his grandmother, who was not feeling well. In May 2013, he chose to play for the University of Illinois.
The NCAA did not let him play right away. He had to take a redshirt year during the 2013–14 season. This meant he could practice with the team but not play in games.
As a redshirt senior, Starks played in 20 games for Illinois. This was during the 2014–15 season. He averaged 7.7 points per game for the team.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Ahmad Starks began his professional basketball career.
Playing in Europe and Canada
In the 2015–2016 season, Starks played for Eco Örebro in Sweden. This team is part of the Basketligan league. He averaged 15.6 points per game there.
In April 2017, Starks signed with the North-West Tasmania Thunder. This team plays in the South East Australian Basketball League in Australia.
Later in December 2017, Starks moved to Canada. He signed with the KW Titans team. They play in the National Basketball League of Canada.
