Ahmed Al-Qadri (Arabic: أحمد القادري; 1956 – 3 September 2020) was an important person in the Syrian government. He was an agricultural engineer, which means he knew a lot about farming and food production. He also worked as a politician.
From February 2013 to August 2020, he served as the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform. This means he was in charge of making sure Syria had enough food and helping farmers. He worked as part of the government's team, called the cabinet, under two different Prime Ministers, Wael Nader al-Halqi and Imad Khamis.

Ahmed Al-Qadri was born in 1956 in a place called Al-Hasakah Governorate in Syria. He chose a career that helped people grow food. An agricultural engineer uses science and technology to improve farming. They help farmers grow better crops and raise healthier animals.

A Sad Farewell
Ahmed Al-Qadri passed away on 3 September 2020. He died from COVID-19 at a hospital in Damascus, Syria. He was the first high-ranking Syrian government official to die from the COVID-19 pandemic in Syria.
