Aidan Gallagher (born September 18, 2003) is a talented American actor and musician. You might know him best from his roles in popular TV shows. He played Nicky Harper in the Nickelodeon show Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Later, he became widely known for playing Number Five in the Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy.

Aidan is also very passionate about protecting our planet. In 2018, he became a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Environment in North America. This made him one of the youngest people ever to hold such an important position!

Career

Acting Roles

Aidan Gallagher started his acting journey with a small part in the TV show Modern Family in 2013. He also appeared in a short film called You & Me.

His first big role was as Nicky Harper in the Nickelodeon comedy show Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. He was on the show for four seasons, from 2014 to 2018. For his work on the show, he was even nominated for the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Male TV Star in both 2016 and 2017.

In 2019, Aidan took on a new challenge in the Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy. This show is based on a popular comic book series. Aidan plays Number Five, a character who is actually 58 years old but is stuck in the body of his 13-year-old self because of accidental time jumps. People really praised his performance, saying he did an amazing job playing such a unique and tricky character.

Music Journey

Besides acting, Aidan Gallagher is also a singer, songwriter, and musician. He started releasing his own songs in 2018. His first song, "Blue Neon," came out on his YouTube channel.

In 2019, he worked with Trinity Rose, a singer from The Voice, on a song called "Miss You." He also released two more songs that year: "Time" and "For You."

Aidan even went on his first concert tour, called the "Blue Neon Tour," in early 2020. He was supposed to perform at a big event called South by Southwest, but it was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Later in 2020, he released two more singles: "I Love You" and "4th of July." He started working on "4th of July" while he was filming the second season of The Umbrella Academy.

Personal Life and Advocacy

Aidan Gallagher cares a lot about the environment. He has worked as a youth advocate for several groups that protect nature, like Waterkeeper Alliance, WildAid, and Oceanic Preservation Society.

In 2018, he was recognized in Variety's Hollywood Youth Impact Report. That same year, he was named a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for North America. This was a big deal because he was one of the youngest people ever to get this title! He uses his platform to encourage young people to get involved in environmental issues.

Aidan is also vegan, which means he doesn't eat any animal products.
