Alaina Reed Hall (born November 10, 1946 – died December 17, 2009) was an American actress and singer. She was best known for playing Olivia Robinson on the children's TV show Sesame Street. Olivia was Gordon's younger sister on the show. Alaina Reed Hall also played Rose Lee Holloway on the TV comedy 227.

Early Life and College Years
Alaina Reed Hall was born in Springfield, Ohio. In the mid-1960s, she went to Kent State University. While there, she was very active in many school plays. Some of these plays included The Streets of New York and It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman!.
During her college years, Alaina was also the lead singer for a group called Tiny and the Velours. This group often performed at a popular student spot called The Fifth Quarter.
Acting and Singing Career
Alaina Reed Hall started her acting career in Philadelphia and in plays that were "off-Broadway." Off-Broadway shows are professional plays performed in smaller theaters in New York City. She was part of the first cast of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on the Road in 1974. She also acted in famous musicals like Hair and Chicago.
Becoming Olivia on Sesame Street
In 1976, Alaina got the role of Olivia on Sesame Street. Her character was a photographer. Olivia was also the younger sister of Gordon, another character on the show.
In 1985, she played Olivia again in the Sesame Street movie called Follow That Bird. She left Sesame Street in 1988.
Starring in 227
In the same year as the Sesame Street movie (1985), Alaina Reed Hall also started co-starring in the TV comedy 227. She played the character Rose Lee Holloway. For a while, she had to travel a lot between New York City (where Sesame Street was filmed) and Los Angeles (where 227 was filmed).

After 227 finished in 1990, Alaina appeared in many other TV shows. She had guest roles on shows like Herman's Head and Blossom. She also used her voice for cartoon characters on Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?.
In 1995, she was in the TV comedy Cleghorne!. The next year, she appeared in a TV movie called The Cherokee Kid. She also had parts that appeared in several episodes of shows like Ally McBeal, Any Day Now, and ER.
Besides TV, Alaina Reed Hall also acted in movies. These included Death Becomes Her (1992) and Cruel Intentions (1999).
Personal Life
Alaina Reed Hall was married three times and had two children. Her first marriage was to Richard Cook. They had two children together, and their marriage ended in divorce.
In December 1988, Alaina married actor Kevin Peter Hall. They met when he was a guest on 227. Kevin Peter Hall passed away in April 1991 due to health complications.
In 2008, Alaina married Tamim Amini. They were married until her death.
Later Years and Passing
Alaina Reed Hall passed away on December 17, 2009, at the age of 63. She died from breast cancer in Santa Monica, California. Her ashes were later scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
