Playing in Portugal
In 1998, when he was 19, Aldo moved to Europe. He joined Sporting CP, a big club in Portugal. In his second season there, in 1999–2000, he helped his team win the Primeira Liga. This was a major championship for the club.
Time at Deportivo La Coruña
After his success in Portugal, Deportivo de La Coruña signed Aldo Duscher. They paid about €13 million for him. In his first year, 2000–01, he played only a few games. But in the years that followed, he played much more. He became an important player in the midfield.
A Famous Match Moment
On April 10, 2002, during a UEFA Champions League game, Aldo was involved in an incident. His tackle led to a foot injury for David Beckham, a famous English player.
