Alella is a lovely village in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Maresme area, which is called a comarca. You can find it right on the coast, nestled on the southwest side of the Catalan Coastal Range.
Alella is famous for its delicious wines and sparkling cava. It also makes wonderful perfumes. Many people who work in nearby Barcelona choose to live here. An old Roman road, the Via Augusta, still runs through the village today. This road once connected Rome all the way to Andalusia!
