Her Career Journey

Starting Out (2006–2012)

Alex Gonzaga began her acting career at ABS-CBN in 2006. She first appeared in the sitcom Let's Go!. She played a character named Alex, which later became her own nickname. Her role continued into the show's fourth season, called Gokada Go!. After this, she acted in other dramas on the same network. These included Pangarap na Bituin, Your Song, and My Girl.

In 2008, Alex moved to TV5. She became one of the hosts for the talk show Juicy!. She also took on a main role in the 2011 soap opera Babaeng Hampaslupa. Other shows she appeared in on TV5 were BFGF, P. S. I Love You, and Enchanted Garden.

Big Break (2013–2019)

Alex returned to ABS-CBN in April 2013. She became a co-host for the Philippine version of The Voice. She also guest-hosted for Big Brother during its All In season. In the first episode of PBB: All In, Alex was introduced as a celebrity housemate. She was called the "Sassy Sister ng Rizal". However, it was later revealed that she was actually a celebrity houseguest. Her secret task was to keep this information from the other housemates. After two months, she left the Big Brother house on June 14, 2014.

Alex then played a very important role as Diane Santos in the popular drama series Pure Love. This show was a Philippine version of the Korean drama 49 Days. It aired from July to November 2014.

She was also part of the comedy show Banana Split. Alex also starred in two episodes of the drama series Maalaala Mo Kaya. In 2014, she released her first book, Dear Alex, Break na Kami. Paano? Love Catherine. The book was well-liked for its humor and fresh take on breakups.

Alex also appeared in her first movie with Star Cinema, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin (2014). This film was part of the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival. It was very successful and became one of the highest-earning local films in the Philippines.

In 2015, Alex released her first music album, I Am Alex G., with the hit song "Panaginip Lang". She had a big launch for her album and a concert called "AG from the East: The Unexpected Concert" at the Araneta Coliseum. She also starred in the fantasy series Inday Bote, a TV show based on a classic Filipino film. Alex also hosted the dance competition show Dance Kids with Robi Domingo.
