What Makes This House Special?
The Alexander King House is located on South Main Street in Suffield. It's a two-and-a-half-story house made of wood. It has a pointed roof, a chimney in the middle, and wooden siding. There's also a smaller section at the back and a porch on the side.
Looking at the Outside
The front of the house has five windows and a door right in the middle. The door has fancy decorations around it, including a window above it and a decorative frame.
Exploring the Inside
When you step inside, you'll find a small entryway with a winding staircase. On either side of the central chimney, there are two main rooms called parlors. The kitchen is in the back, with smaller rooms in the corners.
The room on the left side is the most beautiful. It has a fireplace wall completely covered in decorative wood panels. There's also a special corner cabinet with columns and an arch. The room on the right also has its original wood panels and cabinets. The staircase in the entryway has finely carved railings. Even the kitchen walls are mostly covered in wood panels, though they are simpler.
