Aleksandra Vyachelsavovna Frantseva (Russian: Александра Вячеславовна Францева; born April 24, 1987) is an amazing Russian Paralympic alpine skier. She competes in events for athletes who have a visual impairment. Aleksandra is helped by a special guide, Pavel Zabotin, who skis ahead of her.

She became famous for winning five medals at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. These included two gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal.

On January 18, 2014, Aleksandra won a big competition. She took home the 2014 Alpine Skiing World Cup title. This race was held in Copper Mountain, Colorado. She won by a tiny amount, just one hundredth of a second, beating another great skier named Jade Etherington.

Paralympic Success in Sochi

The 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi were a huge success for Aleksandra. She showed incredible talent and determination.
