Lance Corporal Alexis was a member of the Canadian Army. He served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, a famous Canadian military unit. He was part of the 3rd Canadian Division.

A Hero's Sacrifice

Lance Corporal Alexander Alexis died while serving his country. This happened on August 18, 1944. He was involved in a major event called Operation Tractable. This operation was part of the final days of the Battle of Falaise Pocket. This battle was a very important part of World War II.
