Alison T. Limerick (born in 1959) is a British singer and songwriter. She is famous for her 1990s dance club hit, "Where Love Lives". This song was her first one as a solo artist. In 1991, it became a number 3 hit on the U.S. dance music chart.

Career in Music and Film
Early Years
Alison Limerick was born in Stepney, a part of London, England. Before she became a singer, she studied at the London School of Contemporary Dance. In the 1980s, she began her music career as a backing vocalist for other musicians.
In 1989, she had a small role in the movie Mountains of the Moon, where she played an African sorceress. She also worked with a music group called This Mortal Coil, singing on two of their albums.
Rise to Fame in the 1990s
Limerick became very well-known in the 1990s for her dance music. Her most famous song is "Where Love Lives". It was a big hit in dance clubs. In 1996, a new remix of the song reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart.
Another one of her popular songs was "Make It on My Own", which was released in 1992. It reached number 16 on the UK music charts. These songs were part of her first album, And Still I Rise.
The song "Where Love Lives" was so popular that it appeared on the U.S. dance chart three different times:
- In 1991, it reached #3.
- In 1996, it reached #4.
- In 2003, it reached #16.
Collaborations and Later Work
Throughout her career, Limerick has worked with many famous artists. She sang with the James Taylor Quartet on their 1995 album In the Hand of the Inevitable. She also worked with stars like George Michael and Courtney Pine. In 1993, she sang backing vocals on the song "Melody of Life" by the group M People.
You might have also heard her voice on television. She was one of the singers for the closing song in each episode of the British TV show Blackadder the Third.
Alison Limerick is still active in music. She continues to record new songs and performs live. She sings with the group Brooklyn Funk Essentials and also with her own band, performing soul and jazz music across Europe.
