Early Life and Music Start
Alison Limerick first studied dance. She went to the London School of Contemporary Dance. In the 1980s, she changed to a music career. She started as a backing singer for other artists. For example, she sang on an album by the Grand Union Orchestra in 1986.
She also sang on two albums for a group called This Mortal Coil. These albums were Filigree & Shadow (1986) and Blood (1991). She also sang on a song called "Equal Ways" from the album Sleeps with the Fishes (1987).

Alison Limerick is best known for her popular dance songs from the 1990s. Her most famous song is "Where Love Lives." This song was a big hit in clubs in 1991. It became a top 10 hit in the UK in 1996 after being remixed.
Another hit song was "Make It on My Own" in 1992. It reached No. 16 on the UK music charts. Both of these songs were on her first album, And Still I Rise, released in 1992. She released three more albums in the 1990s: With a Twist, Club Classics, and Spirit Rising.
