Alison Snowden (born 4 April 1958) is a talented English animator, voice actress, producer, and screenwriter. She is best known for creating the animated TV show Bob and Margaret with her husband, David Fine. Their short film Bob's Birthday won an Oscar and was the pilot for the Bob and Margaret series.

Life and Creative Work

Alison Snowden was born in Arnold, England. She studied art and film at different colleges, including the National Film and Television School. There, she met her future husband, David Fine.

Her early short film, Second Class Mail, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. This is a very big award in the film world!

Later, at the 67th Academy Awards, Alison and David won an Oscar for their short film Bob's Birthday. This film was a big success.

Alison and David also created the popular animated TV show Bob and Margaret. They have also worked on other well-known animated shows. For example, they wrote for Peppa Pig, a show many younger kids enjoy. They also helped develop Shaun the Sheep for Aardman Animations and created the character Timmy.
