Allan Enzo Cruz Leal, born on February 24, 1996, is a professional football player from Costa Rica. He plays as a midfielder for the team Herediano and also for the Costa Rica national team.

Allan Cruz's Club Journey
Allan Cruz started his football career in Costa Rica. He has played for several teams, showing his skills as a midfielder.
Playing for Uruguay de Coronado
Allan Cruz was born in Nicoya, a town in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. He began his professional football journey with a team called Uruguay de Coronado.
He played his first professional game for the club on August 29, 2015. His team won that match 2–0 against Saprissa. Before this, he had a short time playing on loan for Generación Saprissa.
On November 7, Allan scored his first goal for Uruguay de Coronado. It was in the 11th minute of a game against Santos de Guápiles. Even though he scored, his team lost that game 2–1.
Joining Herediano
Before the 2017–18 football season, Allan Cruz joined Herediano. He played his first game for Herediano on July 29, 2017, against Guadalupe. The game ended in a 0–0 draw.
His first goal for Herediano came on January 20, 2018. He scored in a 1–0 home win against Saprissa. In his first season with Herediano, Allan played in 46 matches and scored 3 goals.
Playing in International Club Tournaments
On February 20, 2018, Allan Cruz played his first game in the CONCACAF Champions League. This is a big tournament for clubs in North and Central America. Herediano drew that game 2–2 against Tigres UANL.
The next season, Allan helped Herediano reach the final of the 2018 CONCACAF League. He scored a goal in the first game of the final against Motagua from Honduras. Herediano won that game 2–0.
In the second game of the final, Herediano lost 2–1. However, because of their win in the first game, Herediano won the tournament overall with a 3–2 score.
Winning the 2018 Apertura
In December 2018, Allan Cruz helped Herediano win the 2018 Apertura championship. He played in the second game of the final against Saprissa. Herediano drew that match 2–2, but they won the championship with a total score of 5–4.
Moving to FC Cincinnati
On January 18, 2019, Allan Cruz signed with FC Cincinnati, a team in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States. This was their first season in the league.
He played his first game for FC Cincinnati on March 10, 2019. It was a 1–1 draw against Atlanta United. Allan then scored his first goal for FC Cincinnati in their very next game against the Portland Timbers. His goal in the 61st minute helped his team win 3–0.
Allan finished his first season with FC Cincinnati having scored 7 goals in 22 matches. On March 1, 2020, he scored FC Cincinnati's first goal of the 2020 season against the New York Red Bulls. FC Cincinnati announced that Allan Cruz left the club after the 2022 season.
Returning to Herediano
In 2023, Allan Cruz signed with Herediano again, returning to his former club.
Allan Cruz's International Career
Allan Cruz has also played for the Costa Rica national team.
In September 2018, he was called to join the Costa Rica squad. He played in friendly matches against South Korea and Japan. He started for Costa Rica in their 2–0 loss to South Korea on September 7, 2018.
On November 20, 2018, Allan scored his first goal for his country. It was in a 3–2 victory over Peru.
On June 5, 2019, Allan Cruz was chosen to be part of Costa Rica's team for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He scored Costa Rica's third goal in their first game, a 3–0 win against Nicaragua.
