The Baltimore Ravens picked him in the 2008 NFL draft. Before that, he played college football at the University of Oklahoma. Allen Patrick also played for other NFL teams. These included the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and St. Louis Rams.

College Football Career

Playing at Independence Community College

After high school, Allen Patrick went to Independence Community College. This college is in Independence, Kansas. He played as a safety on their football team.

Playing for Oklahoma University

Patrick later transferred to the University of Oklahoma. He then changed his position to running back. During the 2006 season, he became a starting player. This happened when the main running back, Adrian Peterson, got injured. Patrick ran for 761 yards that season. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry and scored 4 touchdowns.
